At a hydrogen council meeting with industrial leaders recently, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Japan aims to achieve an “Asian zero-emission community” by contributing Japanese technology in hydrogen, ammonia and other decarbonization technologies. “By setting an ambitious goal, we aim to make our plans more predictable and encourage long-term investment in developing a large-scale hydrogen supply and demand,” Kishida said.

Inflation reduction Act
Rules are being set by the Treasury Department, the White house and the Department of Energy for transformative Green Hydrogen incentives. Hydrogen is the promising decarbonization solution even for some of the hardest to decarbonize industries.

 There are about 200 companies in Japan in the Hydrogen space. There are 5 in the Green Hydrogen space. But there is only one with an all-in-one Hydrogen Power Generation System – H2 INNOVATION. We are best in class.

Upcoming milestones and sales

We expect to receive an LOI from a Hydroponics company in Japan for an order of 30 – 45 300kW Systems. We expect this to start in the 2nd quarter of 2024. Each System is worth $4.4m in sales to H2 INNOVATION. Associated with these up to 45 orders, this company has been supplying food products to Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo for many years. Each country has indicated that they wish to purchase ten 300 kW Systems over the next 3 years. So, in total, we see as many as 50 – 65 Systems being sold through this one client. This means $220m – $300m in revenue over the next three years to H2 INNOVATION.

We have been informed through a partner source in Japan, that Japan’s federal government is creating 6000 disaster relief locations across Japan. 4000 have already been established. With the 2000 that are left, our partner has indicated that the government is looking to replace diesel generators as backup power with Hydrogen power. That is music to our ears. We see using our proprietary Hydrogen absorbing alloys and fuel cells to be that replacement. That would mean around $500,000 per location for H2. We have a 20 kW System that is likely to be bought soon in the 2nd quarter and a 200 kW System in the summer. This will be an additional few million in sales. We are setting up additional sales for next year now as well.

H2 INNOVATION and FC R&D CO. (our award winning manufacturer) had received a joint award from the Ministry of the Environment for resiliency in advance climate change countermeasures technologies. These are very prestigious awards and hard to come by. We had received that April 23, 2024.
